Kieran Trippier shared a desire to go into coaching upon retirement during an interview on TNT Sports programme Sign Up - Into Football. The Newcastle United defender, who has played under several highly-regarded managers during his career, said he felt he had a "lot to give back" and would most like to replicate the style of current boss Eddie Howe.

Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier has told TNT Sports he would "love to go into coaching" when he hangs up his boots, but management would bring "too much pressure."
The 33-year-old spoke to British Sign Language presenters Damaris Cooke and Rolf Choutan for the Sign Up - Into Football programme, which aims to raise the profile of the deaf community.
Trippier has previously shared an ambition to go into coaching and expanded on this during the interview.
“I think I’d love to go into coaching,” he said. “I don't think a manager – too much pressure.
“I would like to be a coach because I feel like with everything that I've experienced in my career, I feel like I've got a lot to give back, and try and help especially young players develop.
“Instead of taking different attributes from different managers, I think I want to be my own person. But of course, I've learned a lot from different styles of managers, which is always key.”
Trippier has played under highly-regarded managers such as Diego Simeone and Mauricio Pochettino, but he named his current boss at Newcastle as the manager he would most like to emulate.
“Eddie Howe, I think he plays aggressive football, is brave and gives his players the freedom to express themselves,” Trippier explained.
“The best thing about Eddie Howe is his man management. So, he's got all the attributes to be a world class manager.”
Newcastle are currently seventh in the Premier League and are fighting it out for European football next season.
Trippier has been absent for almost two months after picking up a calf injury during Newcastle’s victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the start of March.
He is expected to return before the end of the season and should be in contention for Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024.
