Bowman and Blunck victorious in Park City

American freestyle skier Maddie Bowman followed up her SuperPipe gold at the 2016 Winter X Games with a halfpipe World Cup win in Park City, USA.

After the first runs Ayana Onozuka was in the lead, but Bowman stepped up in the second to steal the victory andthrill the home crowd.
Bowman threw down three different 900s - including a switch nine that she just learned last week - to clock the best score with 89.80 points.
In the end Onozuka had to settle for second with a score of 88.80, with Marie Martinod of France completing the podium in third on 84.20.
Despite settling for second best in Park City Onozuka still leads the halfpipe World Cup standings on 240, American Devin Logan second with 220 after finishing sixth.
There was also an American victory for the home crowd to celebrate in the men’s event as Aaron Blunck scored 94.20 to take the win.
He finished ahead of Benoit Valentin, who was runner-up with a score of 92.80, while his compatriot Kevin Rolland was third.
Blunck now leads the World Cup halfpipe standings on 200, four ahead of Rolland with Valentin third on 185.
