The UK Championships in Manchester later this month will serve as Team GB's trials for the upcoming 2024 Olympics Games, to be held in Paris this summer. One sprinter in with a chance is Louie Hinchcliffe, who has now won the 100m sprint at the NCAA Championships, with a personal best time of 9.95 seconds, making him 2024's fastest European sprinter.

Great Britain’s Louie Hinchcliffe became the first European to win the men’s 100m at the NCAA Championships in the United States.
The 21-year-old was competing in Eugene, Oregon, to win the college title for his University of Houston squad.
He is coached by Olympic legend Carl Lewis at the university, and his time of 9.95 seconds makes him the sixth-quickest British sprinter, the ninth fastest in the world, and the fastest European in 2024.
"I got out hard and it was kind of level, my form probably wasn't the best, but I gave everything to get to that line [first]," said Hinchliffe after his win.
Hinchcliffe is due to take part in the UK Championships in Manchester in the coming weeks.
The UK Championships serve as the trials for Team GB ahead of the summer’s Paris Olympic Games.
The success for Hinchcliffe comes as no surprise after he won the English national title in 2022, and after the 2023 season with Washington State, he moved to Houston to link up with Lewis.
Before 2024, his personal best stood at 10.17 but two weeks ago in the NCAA regionals, he recorded a 9.84 performance that did not stand as it was wind-assisted.
