New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson breaks records with three-point streak and 50-point haul in win over Phoenix Suns

The New York Knicks were 139-122 winners over the Phoenix Suns on Friday night as they made it two wins from their last three matches. Knicks guard Jalen Brunson was in exceptional form on the night as he not only scored 50 points in the match, but he made all nine of his three-point attempts, and broke scoring records in the process. He also made five steals, six rebounds and nine assists.

Jalen Brunson scored a career-best 50 points, scoring 100% of his three-point attempts, as the New York Knicks beat the Phoenix Suns 139-122.
The Knicks came away with an impressive victory on Friday as the guard impressed throughout, attempting and converting each of his nine attempts from outside the three-point line.
Brunson made 19 for 23 from the field and seven for nine on free throws.
Equalling the NBA record, he made nine for nine from deep - the most three-pointers without a miss in a single game. In fact, he is the only NBA star to make 50 points while maintaining a 100% record shooting from deep.
With five steals, six rebounds and nine assists, he contributed across the court for his team.
"I had no idea," Brunson said of his sterling efforts. "I was just playing free."
He is the first Knicks players to make nine three-pointers while also scoring 50 points.
Alongside former Knicks stars Patrick Ewing, Bernard King and Willis Reed, he is the fourth player for the team to score 50 or more with 70% accuracy.
The win means that the Knicks now have two wins from their last three matches, while the Suns have lost six of their last eight.
"They made shots and just got hot and aggressive," Suns player Kevin Durant said. "They killed us in the pick and roll and that was the game."
Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said: "The way he shot the ball was special.”
