Caitlin Clark had her second double-double of the season as she inspired the Indiana Fever to an 88-81 win over the Washington Mystics. Clark scored 18 points and a career-high 12 rebounds as the Fever moved to 6-10 for the season. She said the team is building "confidence" after a slow start to the season. Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Aces welcomed back Chelsea Gray as they beat the Seattle Storm.

Caitlin Clark claimed a double-double to help the Indiana Fever to a third-straight victory, beating the Washington Mystics 88-81.
Clark scored 18 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, while Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell led the scoring for the Fever with 22 points each.
After her second double-double of the season came with points and rebounds, Clark joked to “not get used to it”, but credited her team for helping her bring in 12 boards.
"Sometimes the ball just bounces your way a little bit more," the rookie guard said. "A lot of the times, the people I'm guarding are getting back on defence, so I have a little more free rein of like going and chasing the ball while our bigs are probably boxing out and hitting a little bit more. So credit to them.
“I think we're really good when I can get it off the rim and push in transition, so I take a lot of pride in trying to chase it down off the rim and then really go.”
Along with their three-game win streak, the Fever (6-10) have also four victories at home for the first time since August 2015.
"The confidence that we've been able to build from the last three games is, you know, continue to take a step forward and learn each game, and if we do happen to lose one, how are we going to respond?" Clark said.
"That's been a big thing for us, too. The last game we lost, we found a way to respond and string off three straight wins. I think we've gotten a lot better over the course of these last three games and we're continuing to build on that."
Ariel Atkins had a game-high 27 points for the Mystics (2-13), who were without injured starters Brittney Skyes and Shakira Austin.

Gray makes winning return for Aces

All-Star point guard Chelsea Gray returned for the Las Vegas Aces as they defeated the Seattle Storm 94-83.
Gray, a five-time All-Star and 2020 Olympic gold medal winner with the USA, scored one point in 15:30 minutes, adding seven assists, four rebounds and two blocks in her first game since injuring her left foot in last year’s WNBA finals.
“Man, I missed this game so much. Never taking it for granted,” Gray, who missed the first 12 games of the season, said.
“It’s a long journey, lots of crying, lots of sleepless nights, a lot of conversations. I’m so thankful to be back on this court.”
Jackie Young led the way for the Aces with 32 points, missing her career-high by two points, while A’ja Wilson added 27 as Las Vegas moved to 7-6 for the season.
Nneka Okwumike scored 21 points for the Storm (9-6).
In the other game of the night, the Minnesota Lynx held the Atlanta Dream to just 23 second-half points as they claimed a 68-55 victory, their fifth-straight win.
Napheesa Collier had a game-high 16 points in a low scoring affair, with the Lynx holding the Dream to 29% shooting from the field.
