Angel Reese broke the all-time record for the most consecutive double-doubles by a WNBA rookie, to help the Chicago Sky defeat the Dallas Wings 83-72.
The 22-year-old registered 16 points and 18 rebounds to secure her seventh double-double in a row and help her side end a four-game skid.
Candace Parker holds the overall record for the most consecutive double-doubles in WNBA history, with an astounding 12 in a row.
The Sky will now return to Wintrust Arena to face the Indiana Fever - led by Reese's college rival, Caitlin Clark - with a record of five wins and nine defeats.
The Wings have not won in nine games ahead of a clash with the Washington Mystics.
"It's super exciting for myself," said Reese. "I try to give myself some grace and tell myself I'm doing a good job, but I have so much more to grow, and I'm just excited to be in this league."
"I love Sylvia [Fowles], she was a great person to me and a great mentor to me when I was at LSU. Being able to have that relationship with her at LSU, I know she's going to be super proud of me."
Elsewhere on Thursday night, Sabrina Ionescu registered a season-best 31 points to inspire the New York Liberty to a convincing 93-80 triumph over the Los Angeles Sparks.
Six different players reached double figures but Ionescu led the way, scoring six three-pointers and chipping in with nine assists to cap a superb display.
New York are now 13-3 ahead of another game against the Sparks, with Los Angeles 4-12 after suffering another defeat.
That clash is live on TNT Sports 4 and discovery+ at 8pm BST on Saturday evening.
