Double Olympic champion Magdalena Neuner looks set to miss the start of the biathlon World Cup season in Ostersund with flu – but the German insists she has rediscovered her motivation after Vancouver 2010.

The 23-year-old struggled to rekindle her desire for the sport since winning two gold medals and one silver in Vancouver back in February while last season she also added a second World Cup title to her seven World Championships victories.
But Neuner has taken the decision to continue competing at least until the 2012 World Championships – set to be held on German soil in Ruhpolding.
"I can't miss a world championship in my home state of Bavaria," said Neuner, who will this season set about a winning third World Cup title as well as attempting to add to her world titles next March in Khanty-Mansiysk.
