What did you make of the game? Did Bayern Munich deserve their win? Does that performance any sort of encouragement to Hoffenheim? Tweet me (@grahamruthven).

Bayern Munich emerge as winners but they were made to fight hard for that victory. Hoffenheim had their chances in front of goal but failed to take them. Volland in particular with rue what he passed up today. However, Bayern's grit has to be admired.

FULL TIME: Hoffenheim 1-2 Bayern Munich

Guardiola is pacing the touchline anxiously as Hoffenheim prepare for one final assault on the Bayern Munich goal. Looks like the defending champions have the points in the bag here.

An additional two minutes of stoppage time to be played at the end of the second half.

Bayern Munich break at great pace and the ball works its way through to a player in red, through on goal. I think it was Schweinsteiger but his shot is straight at Casteels.

Salihovic is presented with a great chance to whip a set piece into the box but his delivery is poor once again and Muller clears.
87'
It now looks like Hoffenheim are pushing three players forward in the final few minutes of this tie in an attempt to find an equaliser.
86'
Hoffenheim sub: Sebastian Rudy OFF, Jannik Vestergaard ON.

It should be 3-1. Rafinha and Schweinsteiger combine to break down the right side, with the former playing a great ball to Muller who is unmarked at the back post. But he plants his free header wide of the post!
84'
YELLOW CARD: Sebastian Rudy (Hoffenheim)
83'
Bayern Munich finally look to have hit their stride, passing the ball around the final third with creativity and imagination.
82'
I had a feeling Hoffenheim might stick two up front for the final 10 minutes of this game but instead it looks like a straight swap, with Schipplock coming on for Modeste.
81'
Hoffenheim sub: Anthony Modeste OFF, Sven Schipplock ON.
80'
Do Hoffenheim have anything left? They've been impressive today and are somewhat unfortunate to be trailing at the moment. If it stays this way Volland will have trouble sleeping tonight.
79'
Bayern Munich sub: Mario Gotze OFF, Rafinha ON.
78'
With that goal you would expect Bayern Munich to keep hold of their grip of this game now. I predict a lot of short passes across the backline over the next 10 minutes.
77'
Hoffenheim sub: Kai Herdling OFF, Tarik El Younoussi ON.
76'
After making the challenge on Gotze failed to clear the ball quick enough and was tackled himself inside the box. After a few rebounds and bounces the ball came to Muller, who finished it off.
75'
GOAL! Hoffenheim 1 Bayern Munich 2 (75 mins - Thomas Muller). The visitors finally take the lead after a scrappy sequence of play in the box, with Muller tucking away at the back post.
