Cristiano Ronaldo and Angel Di Maria grabbed braces as Real Madrid moved onto six points at the top of Group B with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Danish strugglers Copenhagen.
The home side took the lead on 20 minutes when Ronaldo met the energetic Marcelo’s deadly cross at the back post with Copenhagen goalkeeper caught in no man’s land.
He doubled his side’s advantage on 64 minutes when he headed in Di Maria’s dazzling cross.
Di Maria got himself on the score-sheet with a wonderful individual effort five minutes later when he curled the ball into the net from distance.
And he put Madrid even further out of sight in the 90th minute, taking advantage of some sloppy defending from the visitors.

TALKING POINT
Can Real do this against the tougher sides? Carlo Ancelotti’s side were far from impressive at times despite chalking up a dominant result. The Italian’s continued selection of Kazim Benzema has frustrated the supporters at the Bernabeu and despite linking up well with his team mates on occasions tonight, the fact he missed a couple of key chances early in the game will be a concern for his under pressure boss.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Cristiano Ronaldo - Who else? CR7 continued his devastating goalscoring form, grabbing a brace as he netted two headers. He has now scored 26 goals in 21 Champions League games.
