Inter were always in the box seat having come into the second leg holding a 2-0 advantage at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, but they could not have performed better on the night to repel every attack from rivals AC Milan and ensure their progression through to the Champions League final. All it required on Tuesday evening was a solitary strike from Lautaro Martinez.
