Southgate hopes Iceland loss will help England ‘focus the mind’

The Czech Republic have announced that Michal Sadilek has pulled out of Euro 2024 after falling off a bike.
The 25-year-old hurt his leg in the process, and he will not travel to Germany as originally planned, having been named in the squad of 26 for his country.
The Twente midfielder played for the Czech team at Euro 2020, and was captain for their recent warm-up match against Malta.
Coach Ivan Hasek described losing the 24-cap player as a "big setback".
He described him as “one of the experienced players," adding: "After all, he also put on the captain's armband during the match against Malta. On behalf of the whole team, I wish him a speedy recovery.
"If we call someone else, we will decide in the near future.”
Press representative Petr Sedivy confirmed: "The players who played more than half a half in Friday's friendly against Malta had an individual program on Saturday.
"Unfortunately, Michal Sadílek unfortunately fell while riding his bike and suffered a laceration in the leg area.”
The country’s first Euro 2024 match is on Tuesday, June 18 against Portugal, with Turkey and Georgia also in Group F.
