Barnabas Varga will continue his rehabilitation at home in Hungary after the hugely distressing scenes that were shown around the world on Sunday, as the Ferencvaros man collapsed on the ground after a collision with Angus Gunn and Anthony Ralston. The Hungarian Football Federation provided a positive update regarding the 29-year-old's recovery on Wednesday afternoon.

The Hungarian Football Federation have confirmed that striker Barnabas Varga has been released from hospital after colliding with Scotland’s Angus Gunn in their Group A clash on Sunday.
There was a lengthy stoppage amid worrying scenes which saw Varga tended to by medics on the pitch, before being taken off on a stretcher.
Defender Anthony Ralston was also involved in the collision, but both he and Gunn were able to carry on playing.
A VAR check was also undertaken to see if there was a foul surrounding the incident, but no penalty was awarded to Hungary.
Varga was shielded by a screen in the midst of the uncertainty as he received treatment, with several of his team-mates - including Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai - in apparent distress.
However, it has now been confirmed that the Ferencvaros striker had the necessary surgery required and is recovering back at home.

The statement from the Hungarian FA read: "Barnabas Varga was released from the Stuttgart hospital this morning and is currently recovering at home in Hungary."
The news comes as further added relief for Varga’s condition, with details emerging via the Hungarian FA on Monday that the 29-year-old’s condition was “stable.”
Ferencvaros re-posted the Hungarian FA update on X, and added: "Multiple bones broke in the face of Varga Barnabas during the collision and he also suffered a concussion.
"He will most likely undergo surgery. He is spending the night in the hospital in Stuttgart."
The attention was diverted away from the football after Varga's injury, but Kevin Csoboth's strike in the 10th minute of stoppage-time sealed three crucial points for the Magyars.
It kept Marco Rossi's side in contention for a place in the last 16 as one of the four best third-place sides, but their progression depends on the final outcomes in Groups E and F on Wednesday night.
Csoboth paid tribute to Varga in his celebration by holding the striker's jersey aloft, while skipper Szoboszlai wore the player's jersey back-to-front to show support for his stricken teammate.
