FULL TIME: Cordoba 0-2 Atletico Madrid

Cordoba have been very positive in this second half, and Romero will take heart from that as his side battles the drop. But in the end Atletico Madrid had too much for them in the first half.

The home side does really well to work its way into the penalty area, with Fede and Heldon passing the ball between them. But as has been the case so often, their move breaks down at the last man.

Turan makes a good run in behind the Cordoba backline, but Suarez can't quite find him with his overhit pass. Atletico Madrid haven't actually created much in this second half.

Oblak has been impressive for Atletico Madrid in only his second Liga appearance, Moya might have a task to get back into Simeone's starting lineup when he's back from injury.

Cordoba deserve huge credit for the way they have picked themselves up in this second half. They have shown much more attacking intent and have been unlucky not to have scored yet.

A sensational save from Oblak! Fede floats a freekick into the box, with Crespo flicking the ball over the keeper to the back post, but the Slovenian claws the ball off his own line. Excellent!

Can Cordoba find a way back into this game with just over five minutes remaining? They have a chance from a freekick about 30 yards out. Time is running out for the home side.

The three changes made by Cordoba over the course of this match have really improved things for them. They picked the wrong team from the start. Romero must regret his starting selection.

Half the stadium thought that was in. Bebe smashes a freekick from the edge of the box towards the near post, but he hits the side netting. Although it looked in for a moment.

YELLOW CARD: Juanfran Torres (Atletico Madrid)

What an incredible save from Carlos! Godin looked to have found the net with a header from a corner kick, but the Cordoba goalkeeper claws back the effort from crossing the line.

It didn't happen for Bebe at Manchester United, but he has been impressive today. He has been Cordoba's best player by quite some distance, giving Atletico all sorts of problems.

What a strike! Bebe takes the shot on from 30 yards out, smashing the ball towards goal and beating Oblak. But the strike hits the crossbar and bounces over. That would have been sensational.

That was a wicked cross into the box from Juanfran. The right-back had to settle for a corner kick though, and Carlos makes the catch at the second attempt from Koke's delivery.

Although having said that, the away side have now taken it upon themselves to control possession and knock the ball around the back, just halting the momentum Cordoba had built up.

Cordoba are enjoying a really good spell at the moment. They have Atletico Madrid camped inside their own half, although the Liga champions are showing no sign of folding.

Ramos just takes too many touches. The Cape Verde international robs Gimenez of the ball, but he takes too long to make his move once he had driven into the Atletico Madrid penalty box.

Suarez has looked quite lightweight in the centre of midfield since he was brought on for Tiago at the break. This time he goes down easily under the challenge of Bebe.
