Despite their struggles in La Liga this season, Getafe still have a quality squad. Arambarri, Maksimovic and Hernandez all have the ability to cause Atletico Madrid some problems.

Getafe will want to see more from Cucurella down this left side. The former Barcelona man has a lot of ability, but Atletico Madrid have managed to keep him quiet so far tonight.

Nyom has gone down seemingly in a lot of pain, but the replays show there wasn't much in the incident. The Getafe man will be fine, we're saying. Indeed, he's back on his feet.

After a passive start, Getafe have grown into this match and are now seeing more of the ball and looking to make something happen further up the pitch. This is better from the hosts.

Atletico Madrid, on the other hand, are undefeated in 36 of their last 38 league matches. While they have had some wobbles recently, they are still incredibly consistent.

Getafe come into this game in dreadfully poor form. They have lost five of their last six games in La Liga and are sliding down the table closer to the relegation zone. Not going well!

Atletico Madrid have certainly been the better team so far, but they have only had one real chance to find the back of the net. Simeone will want to see more in the penalty box.

Llorente is now arguably Atletico Madrid’s most important creator. One wonders whether Zidane and Real Madrid now regret letting go of a player they saw as a holding midfielder.

It's been around a year since the moment at which Llorente’s career changed. His performance at Anfield in the Champions League last season proved he could play in a more advanced role.

Soria has looked somewhat nervous a couple times this evening. The Getafe goalkeeper flapped at a cross into the middle there, but gathered the second delivery.

As disappointing as the Madrid derby result undeniably was a week ago, Simeone and his players must look at the bigger picture. They still have a strong advantage at the top of La Liga. They are the title favourites.

While Trippier got to his feet pretty quickly after the clash of heads, Cucurella is going to need some more treatment. Will the left wing back be able to continue? Might a sub be needed?
