Gennaro Gattuso did not hold back when giving his verdict of Marseille's performance in their 1-1 draw with Strasbourg on Saturday. The legendary former AC Milan midfielder made the comments in his post-match press conference. The result continues an underwhelming start to Marseille's Ligue 1 campaign, after managing just three league wins so far this season.

Gennaro Gattuso had harsh words for his Marseille side after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Strasbourg in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Jonathan Clauss cancelled out Emanuel Emegha's opener to claim a share of the spoils in Alsace, but the Italian could not hide his frustrations in the post-match press conference.
The result leaves Marseille sitting ninth in the table with only 14 points from 12 games played, and already 16 behind league leaders Paris Saint-Germain, albeit with a game in hand.
"I don't know how we can play like that. I am very angry with the second-half. It's a disaster," said Gattuso in quotes carried by the official Ligue 1 website.
"I take responsibility, but I don't know how we can play like that. Wearing this team's shirt is an important responsibility.
"I would have preferred to have lost 4-0 but to have played. Look at how we played in the second-half. I asked the players how that happened. I want explanations. I'm expecting a response tomorrow (Sunday) ... the team was rubbish."
Gattuso has won just one of six Ligue 1 games to date following his appointment as head coach on September 28.
He joined a club at loggerheads with their fans, with his arrival coming after a 4-0 defeat to PSG.
Looking to the future, attention returns to the UEFA Europa League where they welcome Ajax to the Stade Velodrome on Thursday.
Their European exploits have been an ideal distraction from their league campaign, with Marseille still unbeaten after four games.
They currently sit top of Group B with eight points, with Brighton sitting second on seven. The two teams go head-to-head again at the Amex Stadium on December 14.
