Fulham might have the services of Dempsey at their disposal, but Bobby Zamora and Moussa Dembele are sidelined by injury and Andrew Johnson is a doubt.

Birmingham are without their leading scorer Craig Gardner.

Hughes will be looking to American striker Clint Dempsey for inspiration - he's the team's top goalscorer with five this season.

Alex McLeish's side are yet to concede inside the opening 20 minutes of a league game this term.

The Blues are yet to win in seven away league matches this season - their last win on the road came at Portsmouth during March.

The west London side have conceded 14 of their 17 goals in the first half of matches.

Mark Hughes' team have won just twice in the league this season, against Wigan and Wolves, sides below them in the table.
