Roberto Martinez (Wigan) on the international calendar: "To have players flying all over the world from one Saturday to another is not a healthy situation for any club. We get hurt more than others because we have a large amount of players who need to get on a plane for nine hours to represent their countries in a friendly.It is wrong to put the players under that pressure, where they are risking injury. Then the clubs are getting players back on a Friday. It should not be allowed."

Paul Lambert (Norwich): "We played really well against Manchester United and lost right at the death and in the Stoke game I don't think we never looked like scoring and it had 0-0 written all over it. The players are by no means down confidence-wise, we will re-group and we go again. The pressure is always here. It's only pressure if you put it on yourself, I don't feel it."

Neither Wigan nor Norwich have scored prior to the 42nd minute since 20th December.

The Latics have scored 35% of their goals from shots outside the box this season, a division-high, while Norwich have mustered more headers on target than any other team (32) and scored the most headed goals (14). Only Spurs (6) have managed fewer headers on target than Wigan (9).

Wigan have committed more fouls (349) than any other team in the top flight, but City's Grant Holt has committed more fouls than any other Premier League player.

There are five changes for Norwich as Adam Drury, Andrew Crofts, Wes Hoolahan, David Fox and Simeon Jackson all return. The Canaries are again without defenders Daniel Ayala (hamstring) and Marc Tierney (groin) and striker James Vaughan (hamstring). England U21 centre-back Ryan Bennett is on the bench again. Jonny Howson, who made his debut against Stoke, is not included in the matchday 18.

The Latics bring in Victor Moses and Hugo Rodallega as Franco di Santo drops to the bench and Conor Sammon misses out altogether. Mohamed Diame remains on the bench. Wigan midfielder David Jones is out of action for two weeks with a knee injury. Mike Pollitt is out for four weeks with a shoulder problem.
