Pienaar looks for Anichebe in behind but this time Reid manages to get to the ball first to clear for a throw.

Coleman has a shot from the edge and Collins again gets a boot to it.

Everton come again though and Coleman skips past O'Brien but his delivery to the far post is cleared.

Much, much better from the visitors. O'Neil gets a lot closer to Osman and wins the ball before winning a free-kick.

Carlton Cole for Diame in a bold move that makes it a 4-4-2.

Demel gets some space down the right and looks to cross early but Baines blocks – however Dowd sees it to be a handball.

Anichebe flicks on to Mirallas who finds Osman. Osman back to Mirallas but he takes a touch too many and the chance has gone.

How Everton are not leading by more is beyond me – West Ham can only play better come the second half so surely Everton need to make more of their dominance.

Diame loses the ball in midfield and collapses in a heap. Everton break and a cross from Coleman is only half-cleared. Mirallas’ volley from the edge is blocked this time by Nolan.

Collins is the only West Ham player at the races this half.

Fellaini somehow is offered all kinds of space at the far post – in Demel territory, who is having a stinker – and Collins again has to make a last-ditch block.

That was a chance for a player of Nolan's quality.

The ball is then returned into the box and a contested header falls to Nolan, who shapes to volley but he just gets his timings wrong and drags the effort – from just by the penalty spot – wide.

Jarvis delivers deep and Howard uncharacteristically flaps at it but Fellaini heads clear.
