Good defending from Zabaleta as he twice nicks the ball from the attacking Fabio but despite all his efforts he still ends up giving away a corner.

Dzeko is fouled by Nelsen but the referee plays the advantage. About a minute later he talks to the New Zealand centre-back but he keeps his cards in his pocket.

Still very comfortable for City but you feel they still need the second before they can relax.

Rodwell wins possession and then plays a one-two with Tevez. He storms into the box but tries to chip it on to Dzeko when perhaps he could have shot himself.

Superb cross field ball from Kolarov finds Silva and it looks like the little Spaniard is going to run clear on goal but as he shoots, Fabio slides in to make a fine block.

QPR have a little spell of pressure and even earn a free-kick in an attacking position on the left – Hart though comes out well to punch away the resulting free.

City will be up to fourth if things stay as they are but still behind West Brom and Swansea on goal difference.

Half-an-hour gone and with QPR offering very little there isn't much to excite.

Good passing move from City ends when Dzeko miscontrols a pass.

Poor defending from QPR makes City's close passing look better than it actually is, Silva wriggles his way free of defenders and Green has to make a close range save to deny him.

City with 70 per cent of the possession so far.

First shot on target from QPR as Granero fires a left shot on target. Not the worst effort but Hart has it watched all the way and easily saves.

QPR just can't seem to string any passes together – just too easy for City so far.
