FULL-TIME: Burnley 1-0 Southampton - The Clarets' hard work pays off for once as Sean Dyche applauds the home crowd. Southampton weren't at their best and no longer look the same side after their recent run of defeats. It's three points to Burnley who could end the weekend outside of the relegation zone.

Victor Wanyama misses what could be Southampton's final chance of the game with a header at close range that he puts over. The clock is ticking down. It could soon be all over for the Saints.
90'+3
Southampton's desire to speed things up is getting the better of them and they now look scrappy. Clyne chases an overhit pass that goes out for a Burnley throw-in after misjudging its flight. The visitors still look dangerous but Burnley look capable of dealing with them, however messy their own methods may be.

There will be four added minutes as Burnley look to see out what would be only their second home win of the season.

End-to-end stuff at last at Turf Moor, as Danny Ings tears down the left to get behind the Southampton defence only to see his cut back sprawl across the box with none of his teammates able to convert it. He loosk understandably angry at their failure to capitalise on his work. Meanwhile, Bertrand snatches up the ball and storms down the left before playing in Pelle. The Italian is given just enough of a heave from a back tracking Dave Jones to send him off balance and off the ball however, and danger is averted.

Shane Long attempts to run beyond the Burnley back line but the linesman raises his flag. The Irishman was offside. Full-time approaches and Southampton's attack is beginning to look a little reliant on chance to find a way through.

Southampton win a corner which is sent in to challenge Heaton. The initial delivery isn't sufficient to truly trouble Burnley however, yet as the ball falls to Clyne out on the right, the full-back lets rip a tremendous shot that flies past the far post of the Clarets' goal. It was a spectacular attempt that looked as if it was heading in.

Southampton are trying to force the initiative but Burnley are looking capable of holding them off. The hosts don't look solid by any means but they may have just enough to keep this going.

George Boyd is down and looks uncomfortable. He squats on the floor and takes his time getting up to walk off the pitch. Pelle comes over and manhandles the Scot to get him off the pitch, accusing his opponent of time wasting. Boyd faces up against the Italian and Clattenburg rushes over to grant both players a yellow card. Firstly for Pelle's shove and secondly for Boyd's time wasting.

Lafferty throws himself into Ward-Prowse late in mid-air and Southampton gain a free kick in a dangerous position just outside the box. Ward-Prowse takes the kick but his shot flies to the wrong side of Heaton's left post.

SOUTHAMPTON SUBSTITUTION: Shane Long comes on for Saido Mane, as the Saints look to bolster their attacking options up front as the final 10 minutes approach. The Irishman's industrious running and strength on the ball could be exactly what the visitors need.

Southampton need to settle themselves down. Burnley have their lead and will likely now look to hold onto it given their need for the three points. If the Saints can't find their composure they may panic themselves into failing to must a response.

GOAL! Burnley 1-0 Southampton (Barnes) - Ashley Barnes and Danny Ings have been finding gaps in the Saints' backline all day, and finally their awareness of their opponents' foibles at the back bears fruit. Barnes races between Alderweireld and Clyne to fire off a shot from the left that beat Forster at his near post. The Clarets are ahead!

Southampton enter the Burnley box en masse once more and again almost grab themselves a goal. The Clarets just about hold their ground however with Heaton rushing to see off a number of attempts while Shackell and Co. attempt to clear their lines.

Ings takes the ball forward in front of the Southampton box and opens his body up to fire a rocket of a shot towards goal. Forster manages to get a hand to it though and Boyd is unable to make anything of the rebound.

Southampton are looking a little desperate now, as if they're rushing a lot of their play after Tadic's penalty to make amends for failing to go one up. Are they anxious that they've let their best chances slip by?

Mane is again the man Southampton appear to looking to burst through, as the Sengalese runs down the left, trying to get on the end of another long-range pass but Burnley are holding their shape and closing down the flanks rather well. The Saints should try and produce more of their short, one touch passing that almost rewarded them with an opener just minutes ago.

Penalty to Southampton! George Boyd brings down Mane and Clattenburg points the spot. Up steps Dusan Tadic who aims for the bottom right of the goal. His shot looks good and accurate but Heaton dives the right way and palms the ball out behind. It remains 0-0!

The best passage of play of the game so far produces a great opening for Mane, who blasts the ball just over Heaton's goal. Pelle finally finds himself on the borders of the Burnley box when reciving a long ball, and is surrounded by team mates eager to play it short through the box. If the Saints create more moments like this, they should soon go ahead.
