Kobbie Mainoo believes Manchester United's players have "peace of mind" now they know Erik ten Hag is staying at the club. The manager's position had been under intense scrutiny following a disappointing league season. However, the club opted to keep faith in the Dutchman, who has won two domestic trophies since his appointment. Mainoo says it is good to have clarity.

Mainoo ‘so grateful’ to Ten Hag for showing faith in him

Kobbie Mainoo hopes Manchester United can go from strength to strength after confirming Erik ten Hag will remain in charge.
The Dutchman looked set to leave Old Trafford this summer following an eighth-placed finish in the Premier League this season.
That was the Red Devils' lowest finish in the top flight since 1989/90, but they did lift some silverware in beating bitter rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
It was announced earlier this month that he will remain as boss at the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
With the club now ready to prepare for the future, Mainoo is now desperate to lift more trophies next season.
"Obviously happy to be building with him," he said. "He's already got two trophies and hopefully there are more to come.
"It is nice to have that peace of mind, that we know what manager we are going back to in the new season."

Mainoo is currently away on international duty with England, as part of Gareth Southgate's squad at UEFA Euro 2024.
It caps a meteoric rise for the midfielder, who had not started a Premier League game until late last year.
However, he was thrown in at the deep end for a 3-0 win at Everton in November and has not looked back since, making 32 first team appearances in total over the course of the campaign.
That resulted in a call-up to the Three Lions, and he has already won four caps for his country.
The 19-year-old paid tribute to Ten Hag for his belief in him, adding: “I am so grateful for him, that he put so much trust in me and belief in me to play in the team. I can't thank him enough.”
Mainoo was speaking to press ahead of England's Group C game with Denmark on Thursday. Gareth Southgate's side started with a 1-0 win over Serbia, as Mainoo was introduced as a late second-half substitute.
