Manchester City’s winless run in the Premier League came to an end after coming from behind to win 2-1 at Kenilworth Road.

Two goals in three second half minutes, from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish, turned around a match in which City toiled early on.

Erling Haaland was missing for the visitors after picking up an injury in midweek, and City struggled to find any cohesion up front despite having the majority of possession. Phil Foden was denied three times by Thomas Kaminski in the first half, who also made a spectacular save from Ruben Dias after the break.

Luton defended smartly as a unit and made their rare forays into the City half count. In injury time at the end of the first half, Elijah Adebayo rose high at the far post to head an Andros Townsend cross past Ederson to give them a deserved lead.

City now move to within four points of the top of the Premier League table, while Luton stay in the relegation zone.

The corner breaks to Chong on the right corner of the area. He lumps it back in but Ederson gathers, and the whistle goes.

Doughty wins a corner for Luton, and this is truly the last chance...

Mengi works his way nicely into a crossing position in the inside right channel, but clips his effort right down the gullet of Ederson. That may well be that.

It's Akanji coming on for Foden.

Luton are applying the pressure now. With no win in four, it's understandably jittery at the back for City.

Clark replaces Lockyer for Luton. There will be a minimum of six additional minutes, and Luton have a free kick in the City half.

Grealish plays keep ball in the corner, but can't hold it forever and Luton eventually force a goal kick.

This is meandering a little now, which will suit City. Can Luton get a second wind here, and create a chance to level it up?

Chong replaces Giles.

Kovacic departs for City, replaced by Nunes.

Kovacic tries to barrel through Lockyer into the area, but can't get through and Lockyer clears.

Foden, who has been a ball of energy, wins the ball high in the final third. It falls to Alvarez, who slips as he shoots and sends the ball half a yard over the bar.

A loose ball breaks to Silva on the edge of the area, but he hits his volley straight at Barkley.

Doughty pulls back the breaking Kovacic, and is booked.

Doughty finds him with a raking pass down the right, and he wins a throw-in.

And he's only just back from suspension no less. He has a nibble at Mengi's ankles, and sees yellow.

Morris replaces Townsend, Lokonga replaces Nakamba.

Brown has jumped in on Foden here, and left him in a heap. It looks a bit reckless on the replay, but after a lengthy VAR check there will be no on field review and play continues.
