Manchester United won their second Premier League game in a row with a hard fought 2-1 victory over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

The home side had the better of the early exchanges, before Scott McTominay scuffed in a volley after 28 minutes to put Manchester United ahead.

The advantage was immediately cancelled out, as McTominay soon handled the ball in his own area and Oli McBurnie levelled the match from the spot.

Sofyan Amrabat hit the bar for the visitors as they slowly exerted more pressure in the second half. It paid off 13 minutes from time when Diogo Dalot curled a long range effort into the top corner.

Sheffield United will now face Arsenal at the Emirates next weekend, while Manchester United’s next Premier League match is the Manchester derby at the Etihad.

That's all, folks, Manchester United have won it. Fittingly enough on the day of Bobby Charlton's passing, the match was settled by a classy strike from outside the area.

Maguire, who has been very good tonight, wins a big header and Manchester United break again. They almost work a chance for Martial in the area, but a good tackle from Robinson (I think) snuffs out the danger.

Garnacho has been impressive since he came on, and draws a foul out of Bogle down the left.

Manchester United win the ball high again, and Martial lays in Garnacho on the left of the area. Garnacho's finish is a shocker, shanked wide, but it turns out Martial delayed the pass too long anyway and Garnacho was offside. What a mess they made of that.

The corner goes short, to Garnacho on the edge. He opens out to shoot, and whips his shot to the near post; Fodderingham is beaten but the ball hits the side-netting.

Another change for Manchester United, as Mount replaces Rashford.

He carries it fully 70 yards, beating two players on his way, before drilling a shot across goal that Robinson blocks out for a corner.

The home side win a free kick, and from that, a corner; Garnacho leads a break from the latter, but his pass to Rashford is poor and the attack breaks down.

Varane replaces Evans for the visitors, while Traore replaces Hamer for Sheffield United.

Archer is flattened by Evans, who is booked.

Sheffield United are looking a bit leggy here. There's maybe 15 or so minutes left, can they find something?

The visitors are back in front, and it's a beauty! Lindelof lays a ball across the face of the area to Dalot, just outside the D. Dalot sets it out for the top corner, and Fodderingham gets a hand to it but can't keep it out!

The visitors are having most of the ball here, but it's looking a bit aimless once more. With McBurnie gone, Sheffield United are really lacking an out ball.

Manchester United are swarming around the Sheffield United area now. Eriksen is playing it forwards, Garnacho has added some directness; the hosts are being penned in right now.

A Manchester United corner breaks to Amrabat, 25 yards out. He booms it at goal, and it cracks off the crossbar and out! Fernandes eventually retrieves it, and then fires a yard past the far post from the edge.

McAtee has been impressive, and skips past a couple down the right before switching the ball to Hamer. It's a long way out and Hamer shoots, high, wide and handsome.

Maguire fires a superb long pass to Fernandes, who is in on the left of the area. He makes a hash of his first attempt at a cross though, and his second is hooked through the area but misses everybody.

Ten Hag has seen enough; Hojlund, Antony and McTominay depart, replaced by Martial, Garnacho and Eriksen.
