Klose is almost put through again, but Ferri does well to emerge with the ball.

Marchetti catches the corner comfortably, and a hopeful early cross from the right moments later by Atalanta sails out for a goal kick.

Atalanta aren't letting their heads go down, however, as Schelotto wins a free-kick which is headed away from Denis and put out for a corner before Moralez can drill in a low cross from the left.

But that won't happen now! Klose buries the game-clincher low from Lulic's pass inside and it's 2-0 to Lazio!

Atalanta have four minutes to salvage something in stoppage time.

Tiribocchi's angled pass to tee up a cross from Schelotto is run out of play by the winger.

The Lazio boss, perhaps sensing this, brings off Rocchi for Simone Del Nero in the final switch of the game.

Rocchi really hasn't made any friends from the Bergamo area today. The tensions between he and various Atalanta players is evident as he both wins and concedes free-kicks inside a minute.

Gonzalez hesitates to put a through pass on for Klose, forcing the German to check his run and strike from distance. It's blocked by Peluso.

It's cleared only as far as Gonzalez, who chips the ball over the defence looking for a team-mate but only finds a blue and black shirt.

Ferri is forced to concede a corner, Lazio's fifth of the game.

Atalanta break again but cannot complete the move. Goal kick.

Gonzalez is unable to pass to Rocchi who is yards offside, but a tackle from a defender sends the ball the way of the striker meaning the flag does not go up! He's one on one! Great goalkeeping by Consigli to prevent a second goal and then see it out for a Lazio throw!

Radu moves into the middle of the pitch and goes on a great run all the way to just in front of the Atalanta 'D', where he feels he is shoved in the back by a defender, but nothing is given and the ball rolls back to the goalkeeper.

Moralez will cross in the free-kick himself, but it's again well caught by Marchetti.

Zauri wins the ball from Moralez with a slide on the left wing, but it's a dangerous tackle which leads to a free-kick and a yellow card. With all the focus on reckless challenges in football at the moment, that was ill-advised from the right-back.

Good cross in from the right by Zauri picks out Klose at the near post! Header caught low by Consigli! Should have ended the contest with that opportunity.

Atalanta advance up the pitch a couple of yards at a time, thanks once again to the trigger-happy whistle of the official.
