Tottenham target Ramsey and David

Tottenham want to sign Jacob Ramsey from Aston Villa and Lille forward Jonathan David, according to the Evening Standard.
Giovani Lo Celso could be sent to Villa Park as part of the deal for Ramsey, but their first offer has been rejected.
The paper reports: “Tottenham are weighing up an improved bid for Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey after having an offer of £20 million plus Giovani Lo Celso rejected.
“Spurs want to add a box-to-box midfielder to their squad this summer and are under pressure to sign homegrown players to comply with UEFA regulations in the Europa League next season.
“Ramsey, 23, is a former England Under-21 international and known to Spurs' technical director Johan Lange, who joined from Villa in October.
“Lo Celso has a year remaining on his contract and played under Villa boss Unai Emery at Villarreal in 2022-23.
“Spurs are also in the market for a centre forward this summer, with Lille’s Jonathan David among the players of interest.”

Arsenal close to Garcia deal

Arsenal look likely to beat Real Madrid to the signing of goalkeeper Joan Garcia, but the terms of the proposed deal are unclear.
The Mirror believes that the 23-year-old Espanyol stopper could move to North London after attracting interest from a number of clubs.
The paper writes: “Arsenal are set to seal a deal for Espanyol star Joan Garcia that will see him become their first summer signing.
“The Spanish goalkeeper has had plenty of interest in his services this summer, with a number of English clubs being linked along with Spanish giants Real Madrid.
“At this stage, it is unclear how much The Gunners will pay for Garcia. He has four years remaining on his contract with Espanyol.
“Garcia made 21 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish side last term as they earned promotion to La Liga. He was asked about his future towards the end of the campaign and remained tight-lipped on a potential move.”

Chelsea want Murillo

Nottingham Forest defender Murillo impressed last season as he became the side’s player of the year, but he could soon be leaving.
The Telegraph claims that Forest want £70 million for the centre-back, and Chelsea want to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
The paper reports: “Chelsea have registered their interest in Nottingham Forest centre-back Murillo, with the Midlands club in talks to sell defender Moussa Niakhate.
“Murillo is emerging as a target for new Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca, though the Brazilian is currently rated at a price of around £70 million by the Forest hierarchy.
“Signed from Corinthians for an initial £11.2 million last summer, Murillo was named Forest’s player of the year after an impressive debut season in the Premier League.
“Chelsea are making enquiries via intermediaries about the 21-year-old’s availability and regard him as a young player with high potential who fits the club’s profile following Maresca’s appointment this month.
“It is understood that any deal is unlikely to happen imminently, though Forest are under some pressure to raise funds before June 30 to comply with financial controls.”

Wolves negotiations for Strand Larsen

Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen to sign Celta Vigo forward Jorgen Strand Larsen.
The Norwegian impressed last season in La Liga, scoring 13 goals in the league, and a fee of £25 million could be enough to get the deal done.
The Athletic website claims: “Wolves are in talks with Celta Vigo over a £25 million deal to sign Norway striker Jorgen Strand Larsen.
“The 24-year-old, who scored 13 goals in 37 La Liga appearances last season, is keen on the move and Wolves are optimistic about concluding a deal with the Spanish club.
“They hope signing the 6ft 4in forward would finally end their search for a senior No. 9 that has been ongoing since Molineux favourite Raul Jimenez lost form following his fractured skull in November 2020.”
