Sturridge trained with his England team-mates for 45 minutes on Monday morning before he left the training field with physio Steve Kemp.
Hodgson has no worries about the condition of Sturridge, who will start up front against traditional foes Germany.
Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana is retained after impressing in the 2-0 friendly defeat to Chile on Friday.
England team to face Germany: Hart, Walker, Jagielka, Smalling, Cole, Cleverley, Gerrard, Townsend, Rooney, Lallana, Sturridge.
Sturridge has been carrying a thigh injury but said on Sunday that he was happy to play against the Germans.
"Daniel Sturridge is fine. Last week he couldn't take part in training much as he was having treatment," said Hodgson.
"But his injury has been improving and the only reason he came off in the training game was to give Rickie Lambert a chance at centre-forward because there is a good chance I want to see him.
Sturridge was not hobbling when he walked off the pitch, but the fact that he did not complete the session will be a concern for manager Roy Hodgson the day before the clash with Joachim Low's men at Wembley.
The good news for Hodgson is that captain Steven Gerrard, who will equal Bobby Moore's haul of 108 caps, striker Rickie Lambert and defender Kyle Walker all trained despite missing the defeat to Chile last week through injury.
Jack Wilshere was also present despite suffering a dead calf at Wembley last Friday.
Joe Hart, who has been on the bench for the last four Manchester City games, looked keen to impress, taking to the field 30 minutes early along with fellow goalkeepers Fraser Forster and John Ruddy.
Hodgson gave Celtic's Forster his senior international debut in the 2-0 friendly defeat by Chile on Friday, but Hart will reclaim the jersey for the visit to Wembley of three-times world champions Germany.

Sturridge: I'm raring to go

"I am sure (Hart) will respond very well," Hodgson told reporters at England's training base. "He is a proud man and very pleased to be playing for England. We have had no cause to doubt him in the (World Cup) qualifiers and also the Euros (2012 European Championship).
"I wouldn't dream of putting a player in the team after one good game, or dropping him after one game. I can't deny - and Joe wouldn't deny - that this is another chance for him to show that he is a top-class goalkeeper and that he deserves his place, because he will be playing against a very good team that can cause us problems."
After 30 minutes of aerobic work, Hodgson's squad split in to two teams for a practice match.
The line-ups gave a hint as to who may start the friendly against Germany.
Walker, Chris Smalling, Phil Jagielka and Ashley Cole lined up in front of Hart in what looked to be the first-choice XI.
The midfield consisted of Gerrard, Tom Cleverley, Adam Lallana and Andros Townsend. Wayne Rooney sat just behind Sturridge up front.
Everton midfielder Ross Barkley replaced Sturridge when he went off, with Rooney pushing forward into the main striker's position.
