How did the two teams get there?
France beat Uruguay 2-0 in their somewhat bad-tempered quarter-final thanks to goals from Raphael Varane and Antoine Griezmann (plus a little help from goalkeeper Fernando Muslera).

Bookies' view
France 8/5, Belgium 24/11, draw 9/4
Our prediction
France should win this one - but Belgium, despite looking scrappy at times, have grown in confidence and will give them a tough time.

SEMI-FINAL II

Croatia v England

When is the match? Where is it being played?
Croatia v England kicks off at 7pm on Wednesday 11th July in Moscow.
How did the two teams get there?
England beat Sweden 2-0 in their quarter-final thanks to goals from Harry Maguire and Dele Alli, after their battle against Colombia in the last 16 this was far more comfortable for Gareth Southgate's men.
Croatia won their gruelling quarter-final against the hosts 4-3 on penalties. Denis Cheryshev had opened the scoring with a spectacular goal for Russia, but Andrej Kramaric levelled things up a few minutes later. Domadoj Vida thought he'd won it for Croatia in extra-time, but Mario Fernandes grabbed an equaliser with five minutes to go to force penalties. Danijel Subasic was the hero once more as he stopped a penalty from Fyodor Smolov.
What's their head-to-head form?
England have won four of their previous seven matches against Croatia, including their two most recent - in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup.

Our prediction
Is it coming home? It's still a possibility...but that Croatian side of assiduousness and guile will prove tough.
