Yani Tseng lived up to her status as world number one with a confident three-stroke win at the State Farm Classic in Illinois.

Taking a one-shot advantage into the final round, Tseng was steadiness personified, making no bogeys and shooting a four-under-par round of 68 to stay out of trouble at the front and finish 21-under-par for the tournament.
Tseng’s playing partner and leader at the halfway stage Mindy Kim fell out of contention with a disappointing 73 to leave her in a share of fifth place.
Cristie Kerr took full advantage, picking up five shots on her final round to steal into second place for the third successive tournament.
Paula Creamer and Brittany Lincicome finished in a tie for third, five shots adrift of Tseng.
"I just kept telling myself: 'Focus! Focus!'" said Tseng afterwards. "I missed a couple of putts but I still was able to make some birdies."
Tseng could be the last winner of the tournament, which is without a sponsor for next year after State Farm Classic had opted not to renew their deal with the event at Panther Creek CC – but said she hopes to be able to defend her crown next year.
"I have loved this tournament since I was a rookie, so I really look forward to coming back to defend my championship," Tseng said.
"I think the crowd every year is getting bigger and bigger, and all the fans, all the volunteers, the people here love this tournament. I can tell.
“It's like a big party all week and everybody was very excited, so I wish this is not the end. I wish I can come back."
