Marc Marquez said he is “pretty clear” on what he wants for the future amid speculation linking him with a move to Aprilia.
Before the MotoGP in Jerez, Spain, the Ducati rider had been linked with a move away from his current team.
The rumours came as a shock with many expecting him to stay with Ducati, but the man with eight world titles to his name has revealed that talks are ongoing.
Crash.net reported Marquez’s most recent comments on being open to moving on, with the Spaniard keen on a factory ride.
“The faster you go on track, the more options… The important thing is that the plan is going well," said Marquez, who was second to Francesco Bagnaia in Sunday's GP.
“When there are results, the factories are contacting me.

“There have already been conversations. Mentally, I'm pretty clear about what I want.”
Marquez has had a couple of crashes this season, which may be motivating his desire to explore other options, but he explained that he has more than one alternative to consider.
He continued: “It depends on everything, in general. But the important thing is that I am clear. I don't just have one option.”
