9'
Wales' move forward breaks down with a clumsy grubber kick from Shane Williams - it might open up for a counter-attack but Australia rush it and Hook clears up.

Walse pushing - Jonathan Thomas holding up the ball as the forwards pile upfield adimirably.

3-5 becomes 3-7 as O'Connor knocks over a regulation kick. That looked very easy for the Wallabies.

Genia held up on the line but already the dynamic scrum-half looking to trouble the defence. Out it comes to Beale and how he doesn't cross the line it's hard to know - but back it comes from Genia to Pocock - try just to the right of the posts!
5'
Another lineout from Faingaa, who was a last minute replacement for Stephen Moore.
4'
Ashley-Cooper makes good progress but that's some dogged Wales defence - first Jones puts in a tough tackle on Beale and then Gethin Jenkins turns over - Hook clears to the 22.
3'
Gethin Jenkins creeps offside for Wales here - Australia kick upfield and Faingaa throws in deep into the Welsh half.

Straight from Jones - the middle of the middle. Good opening for the hosts.

Bold start from Wales - a turnover near the 22 and a penalty from an eminently kickable distance for Jones!

14:29
Wales now sing their anthem. The stadium isn't full, but it's still loud.
14:28
The national anthems begin - Advance, Australia fair is the first to play.
14:27
With fire billowing atmosopherically in the Millennium Stadium Matthew Rees leads out his side. The crowd is as ever fabulous ahead of a Test in Wales.
14:26
The players are making their way out on to the field. The Australians come out first and form a huddle.
14:25
And Gatland has opted for the roof of the stadium to be kept open - that will be more like the experience they face at the World Cup in New Zealand.
14:25
Coach Warren Gatland has signed a new deal to keep him with Wales until 2015 - that should provide much-needed continuity as they build for the next two World Cups.
14:20
Australia are on a high after beating New Zealand in Hong Kong. Robbie Deans has been pushing his youth stars for some time, but it looks like it might finally be coming together for his side. James O'Connor, with 25 Australia caps to his name at the tender age of 20, takes the kicking duties after keeping a cool head in the win over the All Blacks.
14:15
It's youth for Wales today. The backline has been changed around with Byrne and Halfpenny out with injuries - Hook, who has been playing well at centre, is moved to full-back. Warburton gets the nod ahead of stalwart Martyn Williams, while the side is led for the first time by new captain Matthew Rees.
