Andy Macdonald, 50, will be the oldest skateboarder to compete at an Olympic Games when he heads to Paris this summer. The Team GB athlete will be joined by 15-year-old Sky Brown, who also confirmed qualification for the summer Games after finishing second in the women's park event at the Olympic Qualifier Series in Budapest. The results meant that 16-year-old Lola Tambling has also qualified.

‘Believe in yourself’ – Richardson’s advice after securing place at Paris

Andy Macdonald will head to the 2024 Olympics in Paris as the oldest skateboarder to ever compete at the Games, while teenage sensation Sky Brown is back for another shot at gold.
Macdonald will make his Games debut after receiving an NOC quota spot and turns 51 five days after the start of the event in the French capital.
He told BBC Sport: "I'm going to Paris, it's pretty surreal, it's amazing - such a happy moment.
"A combination of luck and the stars and planets aligning. I'm 50 years old and going to the Olympics as a skateboarder. Who would have thought it?"
Macdonald previously competed alongside Tony Hawk and holds the record for the number of vert medals won at the X Games.
Having been ranked at No. 38 in Olympic World Skateboarding Rankings ahead of the qualification event in Budapest, Macdonald said he had to be at his very best to ensure his record-breaking feat.
“When I got here, I was like, I have to just come up with a line that is the most jammed-packed with the most difficult tricks that I’ve ever done - all together," he told Olympics.com.
He will be heading to the French capital to represent Team GB alongside 15-year-old Brown, who fought through a knee injury to finish second in the women's park event in Budapest despite wearing a supportive brace.
Aged 13, Brown became the youngest athlete to win an Olympic medal for Team GB at the Tokyo Olympics as she clinched park bronze.
"I didn’t use all my tricks and I'm saving some for Paris too which is definitely a confidence boost," she told BBC Sport.
"I'm so excited to eat chocolate croissants."
Lola Tambling, 16, will also represent Britain at the Olympics despite not competing in Sunday's qualification final, having already earned enough points to see passage to the French capital.
