Katie Ledecky qualified for Paris 2024 in fine fashion as she made history by becoming the first woman to win four titles at a single US Olympic swim trials.
Ledecky, who has won 800m freestyle gold in each of the last three Olympic Games, is looking to match the record medal haul of four consecutive gold medals in the same event, held by American icon Michael Phelps.
"It's time to get back to work. Got to get ready for Paris", Ledecky said.
Ledecky finished in 8:12.12 in Indianapolis on Saturday - over six seconds clear from the rest of the pack.
Her blistering swim serves as the perfect preparation ahead of the Paris Olympics, with the seven-time Olympic gold medal winner set to feature in the 400m freestyle, 800m freestyle, 1500m freestyle and 4x200m relay events in the French capital.
The 27-year-old broke onto the scene aged 15 with an astounding gold in the 800m freestyle event in the London Olympics. She continued her fine form in both the Rio and Tokyo games, picking up the same accolade.
Ledecky, holder of 10 Olympic medals, is the world record holder in the 800m freestyle event. She has also posted 29 of the top 30 fastest swims in women's 800m freestyle history.
