That's a fabulous start to the game from Auger-Aliassime, and he moves forward to put away a forehand volley to make it 15-30 on the Djokovic serve. And so close to two break points as a passing shot sails just wide! But Djokovic recovers, and Auger-Aliassime nets a sliced backhand to give Team Europe the game, and a 6-5 lead.

Mark Petchey suspects Djokovic is playing more backhands instead of forehands, due to the pain that the latter may be causing his wrist. That's a pretty big workaround to manage in a match of this quality and significance. Jack Sock bellows towards Auger-Aliassime, praising his excellent serving. And he is certainly doing that, breezing through a hold to make it 5-5.

Djokovic responds in kind, working the angles on game point to seal it. Matteo Berrettini chips in with some Italian words of encouragement to his teammate at the sit-down.
