Emma Raducanu will be the standout omission from Team GB's squad at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The 21-year-old explained her well-documented recent injury struggles have played a key role in the decision to rule herself out of the Games. However, Andy Murray looks set to compete in the men's singles and men's doubles category, as he moves closer to his imminently expected retirement.

Andy Murray's farewell tour will include another trip to Roland-Garros, but Emma Raducanu has decided to decline her chance to represent Team GB at the 2024 Olympic Games.
Murray could be taking part in the swansong tournament of his career, having confirmed he is "unlikely" to continue beyond this season.
The Scot has already won gold medals at London 2012 and Rio 2016, and will now return to the clay courts of Paris - where he recently exited the French Open in round one - to try his hand at No. 3.
Raducanu, though, has decided not to take part. The 21-year-old was offered a wild-card place reserved for former Grand Slam champions by the International Tennis Federation, as her current ranking was too low to qualify.
Speaking after her semi-final exit at the Nottingham Open, Raducanu explained she did not want to risk her fitness.
She said: “I love playing for my country, I think that was pretty clear at Billie Jean Cup, I really fought, and I enjoyed it so much but the Olympics is just not the right time for me this year.
"I really hope to be a part of the next one but I guess with the change in surface, it’s just not worth the risk for me at this point having recovered from the surgeries last year but I do wish the team good luck.
"So not in a diva way, [I'm] just prioritising my body and my health because I know if I'm fit, I know if I'm giving my 100%, I know great things are happening and coming."
This means that current British No. 1 Katie Boulter will be Team GB's only women's singles player in the competition, but Murray is one of four players in the men's singles tournament.
“[Raducanu] feels that this isn’t going to be the right timing for her for this summer,” said Olympic team leader Iain Bates.
“I think a lot of that is obviously in the late notice of the spot. I think there’s the bit around the surface change between grass and clay and hard, and everyone’s aware of her history and the double wrist surgery from last year.”
As well as competing in the men's singles, three-time grand slam champion Murray, meanwhile, has been nominated alongside Dan Evans to take part in the men's doubles.
Cameron Norrie and soon-to-be British No.1 Jack Draper are amongst the other players included in the men’s singles category.
Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski are the other two players named in the men’s doubles due to their world ranking, while Boulter pairs with Heather Watson and Harriet Dart teams up with Maia Lumsden in the women’s doubles category.
The ITF will confirm the full entry list on July 4, with Team GB still to confirm who will compete in the mixed doubles category.
The full list of Team GB nominations follows.
