ZVEREV 6-4 7-6 2-2 DE MINAUR
Demon begins to put together an almost flawless game with an ace down the T, a humongous forehand thunderbolt and another massive serve.
It suddenly unravels from there as he overcooks a forehand is too nonchalant at the net and double faults for the third time in the match.
A hefty serve down the T helps him evade disaster at deuce and then comes out on top in a high-class rally to get the hold via the long route.

SET! - ZVEREV 6-4 7-6 DE MINAUR
It’s a Houdini act from Sascha as he somehow claws his way back from 4-0 down to take the breaker 7-5 and secure a two-set advantage.

TIE-BREAK LATEST: ZVEREV 2-4 DE MINAUR
The Zverev forehand completely misfires to leak errors left, right and centre.
Demon continues his lightning defensive skills with a super reach to his right to arrow a crosscourt forehand and force a volley error, but it’s all about Sascha’s implosion at the change of ends.
21:25
ZVEREV 6-4 6-6 DE MINAUR
Zverev produces a bewitching low, backhand stun volley but then throws in two absolute howlers off the forehand and turns up the heat on himself from 40-15 up.
De Minaur’s defence means the nervy German can’t execute a cheap winner to ease the pressure and a wonderful, lob tees up set point.
Zverev gets a touch of luck when a fizzed Demon forehand clips the tape, allowing him to take charge and eventually lash down a bounce smash to save it.
The nerves jangle away for the No.4 seed and he gets a time violation, but he finally plays his get-out-of-jail-free card to take us into a breaker.

ZVEREV 6-4 5-6 DE MINAUR
What defence!
De Minaur is beaten by a lob, swishes his racquet at thin air, but it so fast that’s still able to get back and slice a recovery shot that keeps him in a rally that he ultimately wins.
The crowd love it and cheer his name.
It’s a similar thriller in what proves to be the final point of the match and again his defence ensures he prevails leading to fist pumping galore.
The momentum is his but can he make it translate to the scoreboard.
21:10
ZVEREV 6-4 5-5 DE MINAUR
‘He’s serving well now,’ says Simon Reed on Eurosport Comms with regards to Zverev.
‘Yes – and he needs it,’ adds Tim Henman as the German handles the pressure as well as the red-hot form of De Minaur to keep the Aussie at bay.
ADM had won the opening point with some ridiculous speed to close down two weak volleys and fizz away a crosscourt backhand pass. It was one of the points of the match, but it didn’t lead him to what he wanted.
21:05
ZVEREV 6-4 4-5 DE MINAUR
Demon has the bit between his teeth and his forehand is doing most of the damage.
An ace down the T demonstrates how good he is feeling right now as he applies that scoreboard pressure deep in the second with a rapid game to 15.
21:01
ZVEREV 6-4 4-4 DE MINAUR
De Minaur is giving it everything to force a breakthrough but Zverev resists time and time again.
We are seeing some marathon rallies but it’s Zverev who comes out on top when it matters, taking a high ball out of the air with an excellent smash at 30-30 before outlasting the Demon when he can’t quite pull off a drop shot.
20:55
ZVEREV 6-4 3-4 DE MINAUR
‘Using that slice backhand well and dictating with the forehand,’ says Tim Henman as he notes that De Minaur is now looking to be more proactive.
The Aussie backs up his words too as he unloads a ferocious crosscourt forehand en route a very tidy hold to 15.
