GAME, SET AND MATCH! - GAUFF 4-6 6-2 6-3 JABEUR
Coco Gauff is a Roland-Garros semi-finalist once again!
The World No.3 weathers the electric storm of terrific Tunisian tennis to emerge from a set down and outclass her opponent in one hour and 57 minutes.
The American was put through the mill serving for it, but was helped out on a third MP when Ons buckled on a pressure-moment smash.
Gauff will now meet Iga Swiatek or Marketa Vondrousova in the last four.

GAUFF SERVES FOR THE MATCH AND A PLACE IN THE LAST FOUR...
It's a shocking start from Coco.
A tight forehand lets her down and a double fault makes matters worse.
A dart forward helps her take care of a short ball with a backhand and then Jabeur lets her off the hook with a volley long.
The Tunisian resets and Coco can't quite reach a bullet forehand down the line and it's break back point.
Ons fires long and then goes for broke again to leave Coco on a second MP....
But.. NO!
Jabeur follows up a lob with a delicious dropper.
Can it pave a road back... Erm, no.
Ons throws in another loose error and then butchers a smash wide!

Survival mode – activated!
Jabeur stares down the barrel at 0-30 and then again at match point down after Gauff had crunched a too-hot-handle backhand deep to her left wing.
The No.8 seed forces the error long to reach the sanctuary of deuce and somehow scraps her way to a plucky hold with an exquisite dropper from way out to her right.
She’s still in there fighting but Gauff will now serve for it.

GAUFF 4-6 6-2 5-2 JABEUR
It’s another moment of star quality from Jabeur as she turns a rally with a bewitching slice lob before racing to her right and jumping into a crosscourt forehand winner.
Sadly for her the loose errors are more common than the magic now and a trio of cheap leaks allow Coco to sneak back from 0-30 and edge another hold that moves her on to the cusp of victory.

There’s a fun net point right at the end of this game as Gauff races in to pick-up a dropper with a cute lob. She defends the net off Ons' smash with lightning reflexes and almost blocks an unlikely winner on the second, but it drops just wide and the No.8 seed secures a much-needed clean hold.
Can she find that other gear again before it’s too late?

Gauff is firmly on the charge here.
The 2022 Roland-Garros runner-up is eyeing the last four again as her confidence overflows into a love hold to back up the break that is book-ended by winners 18 and 19 of the day.

BREAK! - GAUFF 4-6 6-2 3-1 JABEUR
There’s that head tilt, sigh and look of resignation from Ons as she jumps into a backhand but flashes it way wide of her intended target.
It costs the Tunisian her serve and it’s the unforced errors that are killing her as her tally reaches up to 29 and counting.

GAUFF 4-6 6-2 2-1 JABEUR
The power-hitting that served Ons so well in that opener isn’t quite clicking now.
She has a chance to peg Coco to deuce but is left looking rather resigned as she drills a forehand long.

GAUFF 4-6 6-2 1-1 JABEUR
Ons looks anxiously at her team as Coco rattles a deep return and sizzles a wrong-footing crosscourt forehand winner.
The American can’t replicate it, however, as the Tunisian pulls off some most welcome clutch serves to halt the run against her and reinvigorate her hopes of pulling off the upset here.

GAUFF 4-6 6-2 1-0 JABEUR
A high bouncing, slice drop shot is not going to get it done against an opponent with Gauff’s court speed and coverage.
The US Open champion swoops into the net to bury a forehand winner and eases through a hold to 15 to maintain her momentum into this decider.

SET! - GAUFF 4-6 6-2 JABEUR
The supreme, almost flawless, tennis that saw Jabeur gallivant through the opener has disappeared in a puff of smoke.
The one still standing beyond that haze is a stubborn Coco Gauff who earns her reward for riding out the Tunisian’s purple patch to hang around from deuce and lap up more errors to break again and secure the second set.

GAUFF 4-6 5-2 JABEUR
Jabeur scurries from side to side desperately defending to somehow switch suddenly into attack mode with a flick of the forehand wrist as she reaches behind her and flips a crosscourt pass beyond a stunned Coco.
It’s another spellbinding piece of tennis but it’s the best she can muster as Gauff sticks to the process and shrugs off a double fault to back up the break and edge nearer to forcing the decider.

BREAK! - GAUFF 4-6 4-2 JABEUR
That’s a shocker from Ons.
She’s just fought hard, producing majestic tennis to drag herself back into the set but then throws in a horror service game that is completely out of context with her overall performance so far.
It’s all too loose and leaky and pretty much gifts Coco three more break points.
The American just stays solid in the ensuing rally and Jabeur breaks herself to love when she snatches a backhand down the line into the tramlines.

BREAK! - GAUFF 4-6 3-2 JABEUR
It’s a shocker from Coco but full credit to Ons as she hits straight back.
A double fault piques Tunisia’s Minister of Happiness’ interest and she tees up two break points with a deep probing backhand down the line that unlocks her opponent’s forehand wing once more.
Jabeur can’t take the first but it’s bingo time on the second as she follows up an early take on the backhand with an emphatic smash at the net.

BREAK! - GAUFF 4-6 3-1 JABEUR
Is that the turning point?
Jabeur is in the box seat at 40-15 but twice goes back into Gauff’s left corner and gets burned as the American presses to deuce with a backhand pass down the line.
A surge to the net to unleash on a short ball tees up break point and another dominant rally that concludes with a wonderful backhand down the line earns the No.3 seed the breakthrough.

GAUFF 4-6 2-1 JABEUR
On Eurosport Comms Chris Evert has pondered how Gauff can wrestle the initiative her way and believes her majestic net play could work.
The No.3 seed produces a delicious stun volley to emphasise that point but the forehand continues to be a major weakness and more miscues off that wing keep her busy at deuce.
Jabeur somehow claws a defensive slice/lob back into play but when Coco moon balls it in response the Tunisian attempts a difficult smash from the baseline and duffs it straight into the net.
