GAME, SET AND MATCH! – GAUFF 6-0 6-2 OSTAPENKO
She’s done it! Gauff shrugs off a double fault for 0-30 to surge back and serve out the contest on her third match point from deuce. The American was too solid for a leaky Ostapenko and eases into the semi finals after just one hour and eight minutes on Arthur Ashe Stadium Court.
The 19-year-old No.6 seed will meet either Sorana Cirstea or Karolina Muchova in the last four.

BREAK! – GAUFF 6-0 5-2 OSTAPENKO
The mistakes are spewing off Jelena’s racquet now and the end is surely night.
From 30-15 up she can’t control her strikes off either wing and a trio of unforced errors hand Coco the double break.
The No.6 seed will now serve for a spot in the semi finals.

GAUFF 6-0 4-2 OSTAPENKO
It’s all about the Ostapenko rollercoaster as she cancels out 0-30 with a pair of unforced forehand errors before a lovely pass off that wing earns break point.
Coco is bounding from side to side behind her baseline, scrambling to retrieve and repel the danger.
Sadly for Jelena, once again she comes up short on the big points with Gauff always making her play one more shot with some excellent defence. More unforced errors prove costly – 30 in total now – as Gauff survives to maintain her advantage.

GAUFF 6-0 3-2 OSTAPENKO
Jelena hits clutch mode following a double fault to open, lashing down a couple of big serves and a pair of forehand winners to easily hold and stay in touch.
It’s already a very different set to the opener, but that isn’t hard in all honesty.

GAUFF 6-0 3-1 OSTAPENKO
It’s a tricky service game for Coco. She fires down aces three and four of the match, with the latter squashing a break point to make deuce.
Ostapenko earns a second chance but balloons two backhand returns and then hands the American her get-out-of-jail-free card with a forehand return long.
The Latvian simply can't afford to waste those sort of openings if she's to somehow turn the tide here.

BREAK! – GAUFF 6-0 2-1 OSTAPENKO
Ostapenko finally has that winner counter moving as she zaps one apiece off the forehand and backhand to take charge at 40-15.
Coco retorts with a pair of rasping returns to set up a face-off at deuce where the Latvian has her chances but can’t drag herself over the line.
Gauff hangs around long enough to notch up another break point and duly makes it count with another wonderful return winner to punish a timid second serve.

BREAK! – GAUFF 6-0 1-1 OSTAPENKO
Ostapenko stops the rot at seven!
The Latvian finally finds some semblance of her A-game with a rip-roaring backhand winner down the line to apply some pressure at 0-30.
Another blistering crosscourt backhand conjures up two break points and Coco can’t repel the threat as she dumps a tame forehand into the middle of the net.

BREAK! – GAUFF 6-0 1-0 OSTAPENKO
Jelena hopes to reset and start all over, but Coco has other ideas.
The 19-year-old looks so calm out there, producing a sumptuous drop shot to completely bamboozle Ostapenko and snare an instant break in Set 2.

SET! - GAUFF 6-0 OSTAPENKO
Well, if anyone was tardy getting themselves into their seat on Ashe, they may well have missed a set of tennis!
Gauff quickly serves out Set 1 and chomps down the bagel in just 20 minutes. Ostapenko managed just five points throughout it’s duration and surely the only way is up now for the Latvian.

BREAK! – GAUFF 5-0 OSTAPENKO
It’s hard to imagine a worse scenario for Ostapenko so far. It’s the stuff of nightmares.
She chalks up her 13th unforced error of the contest so far – unlucky for some – via the backhand to gift Gauff another break point.
The Latvian dictates the ensuing rally but Coco chases down a drop shot and guides the forehand winner to the baseline.
Bagel incoming?

GAUFF 4-0 OSTAPENKO
Gauff fires away just her second winner of the match so far via the forehand and once again dominates with an aggressive mind-set on each point. Ostapenko offers little response as the American backs up the double break to move within sight of clinching the first-set at a canter.

BREAK! – GAUFF 3-0 OSTAPENKO
Nine minutes in and Gauff is rampant.
The No.6 seed spoke about how Jelena is either ‘hot or cold’ when asked about the Latvian ahead of this contest, and sadly for the former French Open champion, she’s pretty cold at the moment.
Her unforced error count rattles up to 10 in just three games as she coughs up a double break.

GAUFF 2-0 OSTAPENKO
Coco slaps down her maiden ace of the contest to consolidate in style.
The 19-year-old American hasn’t had to do too much so far, with Ostapenko already going too big and clocking up SIX unforced errors!

BREAK! – GAUFF 1-0 OSTAPENKO
What a start! Jelena struggles to find the court in her opening service game and it allows Gauff to break to 15 in rapid fashion and get off to a flyer.
Strange to note that the stadium is far from full given a home favourite is in action in the last eight of a major.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
This will be their third meeting with the previous matches split.
At the age of 15, Gauff defeated the Latvian at the 2019 Linz final to secure her first ever WTA Tour title.
But earlier this year, Ostapenko edged out Gauff 7-5 6-3 in the fourth round of the Australian Open.
