Kim Clijsters and Ai Sugiyama scooped their second grand slam in a matter of weeks on Sunday, adding the Wimbledon women's doubles crown to their French Open triumph. The second seeds beat top-seeded pair Virginia Ruano Pascual and Paola Suarez -- their v

The victory offers some consolation to Belgium's Clijsters who, as second seed, bowed out of the women's singles at the semi-final stage, losing to Venus Williams.

Sugiyama may also now feel a little better about her partner knocking her out of the singles at the fourth round stage.

There will be little cheer for Ruano Pascual and Suarez, though.

The defeat marks the second straight year the Spanish-Argentine pairing has lost in the doubles final at the All England Club. Last year the Williams sisters Venus and Serena beat them.
